What is a cookie?

A cookie is a string of information, identified by a name and transmitted to your browser for the sites to which you connect. Your web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc) will store it for a set period of time and send it back to the web server each time you reconnect to the website.

Cookies have many uses: to store your customer ID or your shopping basket on an e-commerce site for user functionality. To track your browsing for statistical or advertising purposes, etc.

A tracker is often a Javascript file called up by the site when you visit it in order to trigger tracking actions for statistical purposes, for example.

What we deposit on the Genolife site:

Google Analytics

We use the Google Analytics audience and statistics service. Its use enables us to improve the architecture of our site and to pinpoint potential problems.

We have added IP anonymisation by default so as not to be able to refine and trace data back to a specific user.

We keep the data for 13 months before automatically deleting it. This service is developed outside the European Union, in the United States. Data is therefore transferred. We have checked their commitments with regard to the RGPD.

This site is registered on wpml.org as a development site.
